Silicone Sponge is an excellent material for uses requiring a soft, compressible material and particularly suited for high temperature applications. There is a full range of standard colours available and J-Flex has the capability to colour match to customer requirements. The sponge is predominately-closed cell with low water absorption.
Sponge sheeting is available in standard rolls 1m wide; other widths can be produced upon request. Our sponge sheetings can also be supplied complete with adhesive backing and slit into strips or punched to produce gaskets to your specific dimensional requirements.
Most J-Flex sheet products can be supplied with our high temperature adhesive backing (generally speaking, any over 1mm thickness).

FDA Compliant Silicone Sponge
A medium density closed cell FDA Compliant Silicone Sponge, particularly suited to the food and beverage industries, where a soft compressible gasket material with excellent thermal stability is required.

Metal Detectable Silicone Sponge
Metal Detectable Silicone Sponge is ideal for gasketing & door seals used in sensitive food processing areas.
If any part of this material falls into a food product, this pollution can be detected by metal detectable equipment. Don’t take any risks by fitting traditional sponge materials because they are cheap. They also have low levels of conductivity & are very often missed by the strongest detection systems. So don’t compromise – fit J-Flex Metal Detectable Products.
Made to order in various thicknesses from 1.5 to 12mm. Colours: Light Grey, Blue.

‘HTM’ Thermally Conductive Silicone Sponge is great for gaskets & pads where good heat transfer is required.

Silicone Sponge Commercial Sheet Grade
Silicone Sponge Commercial Sheet Grade is a good industry standard product popular for most gasket; strip & joint applications. It has excellent environmental resistance to ozone, oxidation, ultraviolet light, and weathering in general.
Features:
- Standard Density 235kgs./m3.
- Temperature range -60°C (-76°F) to 230°C (446°F).
- Smooth surface finish both sides.
- Stock colour – Off White – also available in Dark Grey and Red Iron Oxide.
- WRAS approved.
- Meets flammability requirements of UL94HB/FAR 25/JAR25.
